Anna Rice is a London/Dublin-based composer/songwriter.Currently at work on Graham Cantwell's feature "Anton," her writing credits for Film/TV and Theatre include the theme song to the multi-award winning BBC series "Zombie Hotel," "Revelations" dir. Jane Lee (Paperplane Creations) "Sibyl Vane" dir. Vittoria Colonna (Ab Uno), "The Trip" (RAG Productions), "The Seagull After Anton Chekhov" (Wonderland Productions) and as orchestrator, "Winter's End" (Irish Film and Television Award 2005, Best Music in a Feature Film).Anna has twice been a selected composer for the Moonstone European Filmmakers' Lab, where she collaborated with directors Vanja d'Alcantara and BAFTA winner Tinge Krishnan. Since 2004 she has been involved with Screen Training Ireland/UCLA's Film Scoring Programme where she studied with former Head of Music at CBS Television, Don Ray and Conrad Pope (orchestrator: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Seabiscuit, The Matrix Revolutions.)Anna was the winner of the 2006 Bill Whelan International Music Bursary, awarded to her by the Grammy Award-winning composer of "Riverdance" allowing her to continue her development at the Royal College of Music, London. In November 2006 Anna was nominated for the "European Film Music Award - New Sound in European Film," as part of Soundtrack Cologne 2006.She is a Music graduate of Trinity College Dublin, and holds a Masters Degree in Ethnomusicology from the Irish World Music Centre, where she studied Traditional Irish Fidde performance with original 'Riverdance' fiddler, Maire Breatnach. In 1999, Anna was Ireland's highest scholarship winner to Berklee College of Music, USA. She holds an LRSM diploma in violin performance, and has gigged with Sinead O'Connor, Frankie Gavin, Phil Coulter, Brian Kennedy, and the Three Tenors.
