The JV Myka Project is a collaboration of several musicians in the Baltimore/DC area, as well as in Miami, FL, yielding an interesting mix of style, rhythm, and sophistication. Songs like "Brash Aim" and "Living In Sin" have gotten some radio airplay in recent weeks, which has been an exciting thrust forward as a band. Working with Producer Tracy Yauch in the studio has helped solidify our direction and has introduced diverse styles which have complimented the aura and mainstream appeal of the project, making our upcoming CD a surprisingly anticipated release.
Our Philosophy
Music is an awesome form of expression. Albeit for love or heart-break or to make a political statement, music is meant to elicit emotion from its audience. Music has a purpose: dance or relax or think or skate or ride horses. With the Internet, musicians can now reach millions of people without selling their souls to the Corporate Devil, which makes it a reachable goal to produce an album with real meaning.

The Meaning of "JV Myka"
When I was 18, a voice spoke to me in a dream. It said, “go and find Micah and become…†The dream was so vivid and the voice so real, I looked for Micah and found it in the Bible. I read it and found it very compelling, so I changed my name to JV Myka. Years later, a second dream with the same voice said to me, “some of the answers you seek are in Isaiah.†In the process, I discovered Micah was part of a group referred to as “The Twelve Minor Prophets.†Another of that group was named Hosea, which translated is “Joseph,†which in Spanish is Jose. So, I changed my name to Josea. Hosea is considered the last great prophet of the Kingdom of Israel and the first of the Minor Prophets. His life and marriage to a woman who eventually became a prostitute is a metaphor for God’s perspective of His relationship with mankind. Interesting, to say the least.

"V" stands for Vladamin. It is the name of the living prophet who has come to this world with a message. As said in the song Brash Aim, "Where do we go from here, my Lord? I feel you want to speak through me..."
Axiology
We all have a purpose. There are so many aspects of humanity and understandings yet to be written about. But we mustn't be blind to the corruption within us all. It is time to Repent. That’s why this project exists. This band is a culmination of experiences expressed through music designed to enlighten our brothers and sisters in this world...
