Hi, I'm Laura and I'm an actress based in Ireland at the moment. My parents (Irene Wright, actress and Michael Way, director) founded the Riff Raff Theatre Company in Wexford, the first professional fringe theatre in the town and I was privilaged to watch them work on Shepard, Berkoff, Williams and many more writers who were groundbreaking at the time.Last year I worked with Sam Neill on the H.B.O. series 'The Tudors' directed by Brian Kirk (Middletown) and Hugh O'Connor in the feature 'Speed Dating' directed by Tony Herbert and produced by Adrian Devane and Ned Dowd.In April I shot the movie 'Anton' which was a most memorable acting experience. I play the female lead 'Maria' opposite Anthony Fox and Gerard McSorely. Directed by an incredible director, Graham Cantwell.I played 'Emer Ryan' in 'The Clinic', a delusional jilted lover of Dr.Dan who tries to kill Dr. Cathy Costello.Before Christmas I shot an incredible short film with Roger Yuan (Shanghi Noon, directed by David Roddham and produced by Ned Dowd called 'Fifth Street'.I also worked with Neil Jordan as his casting assistant in the hilarious comedy directed by Ian Fitzgibbon, written by Mark Doherty 'A Film With Me In It'. Starring Dylan Moran, Mark Doherty, Amy Huberman, Aisling O'Sullivan and Neil Jordan.I also toured a production of 'Orange Flower Water' written by Craig Wright (Lost, Six Feet Under, Brothers and Sisters) directed by Michael Way, with the riff raff theatre company, last year.I played the role of Gina, in the RTE film 'Bitter Sweet' which is airing this Easter Sunday on RTE1 at 9.30 with Roisteard Cooper, Deirdre O'Kane, Una Kavanagh and Catherine Walker. Its directed by Declan Eames and written by Di Burrows (Footballers Wives, Bad Girls). Hopefully, it will be made into a series later in the year.I am a member of 'The Attic Studios'.Aswell as all the acting shenanigans, I also studied Art, performance and technology in W.I.T. and graduated with honours and I wrote a play called 'Escaping the Rain'.I am currently addicted to 'Arrested Development' and think it's criminal that it is no longer being made...boo hoo!Anyhoo...
