Hazy Jane was born and raised about 4 years ago.
In those years the four members of Hazy Jane created their own sound; Songs with a pop/folky feel, melodic, harmonic; songs that can make you fly but can also put you back safely on the ground.
The unique, spherical, sometimes spooky vocals are the signature of the music of Hazy Jane. They will involve you in a book….it’s the surprise, the recognition that keeps you reading…
Spring 2004 Hazy Jane recorded a demo-cd. This demo-cd was received well in the media (review De Fret, Talent of the week “ongekendtalent.nlâ€, airplay Kink FM).
Hazy Jane’s new EP “Chapter 1†came out the end of March 2006. This EP got some good reviews in Dutch musicmagazines and on the internet like FRET, Musicfrom, ongekend talent.
Hazy Jane was also selected for the Demontage Download cd, a downloadable cd that was created by the NPI (National Pop Institute) with the song Cool Water and they were selected for the Creative Commons DVD/CD with the song Birds eye view.
In April 2007 Hazy Jane went to America to record their full-length album with engineer and producer John Morand (Cracker, Sparklehorse, Mint).
This cd will be released spring 2008.
Performing live is where the songs are really allowed to shine through.
Constantly expending and evolving according to the ever growing musical vision. With a sonic landscape consisting of haunting and vulnerable songs, Hazy Jane already surprised many listeners.
