Roderick Desmond Hutcherson has been in the Entertainment Industry for more than 20 years. His career started as a recording artist (Male Soloist) for Black Pearl Records, under the management of Earl “THE PEARL” Monroe. During this time is when he began his interest in the business aspect of the industry. Under the tutelage of Earl Monroe, Roderick was able to acquire a vast amount of knowledge about networking and contractual negotiations.

While working with Black Pearl Records. Roderick Hutcherson was also under the mentorship of Herb Middleton. As Herb was growing into the Grammy Nominated producer we know today, Roderick was learning the production/recording process. He was able to see and be a part of the artist development of the artist that came under the production of Herb Middleton (Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Usher, and Anne Nesby). With the combination of his studying business management at Queens College and his hands on training in the fields of contract negotiations and networking, as well as developing, managing, and producing artist, Roderick has been able to be a huge part of as well as start several successful business ventures.

In 1995, Roderick Hutcherson was hired to be the Director of Operations as well as the production coordinator for Y.A.I.D.T.S. (Young Artist with Integrity Destined To Succeed), which is a production/performance company that has been responsible for the development of several artist who have gone on to garner record deals, careers in commercials and TV shows, as well as Broadway plays. Roderick Hutcherson currently sits on the Board of Directors for Y.A.I.D.T.S., Inc.

Roderick Hutcherson has been a consultant for Herb Middleton and Big Herb’s Music for approximately 9 years. As a result of a long, successful partnership with Herb Middleton, he was asked to be the Co-President for Nuvybe Records, alongside Janelle Middleton, the President and Founder of Nuvybe Records. For a period of two (2) years, he was also the Vice President for El Lamohn, Inc., which was a clothing line for men, inspired by the artistic designs of a 15 year old prodigy by the name of Lorenzo Nicoleau. Roderick was also the Director of Promotions (East Coast Division) for The Undaground Communications Marketing Group, which is a company that offers top quality marketing and promotions for major clientele such as BET, The Apollo Theater, EMI Gospel, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Columbia Records just to name a few.

Roderick Hutcherson is currently the President and C.E.O. of Source Of Synergy, Inc. which is a networking, consulting and management company for individuals as well as major companies in the entertainment industry. He, along with other S.O.S. executives, is the management team for Artist such as Melvin Crispell, Tunesha Crispell, Mark Prentice, Kathy Hutcherson, Edward Buckley & Unity In Spirit, Alvin Campbell & Total Praise, and Cheryl James & Voices Of Worship just to name a few. He is also the business consultant to PotBelly Music (Record label/Production Company). He also sits as the Co-Chairman on the Board of Directors for Gospel Co-Op of America, a major corporation based in New York.
