From the time I was a little child I'd always heard of You, And I'd seen with my own eyes the wondrous things that You could do, But in spite of all I'd seen and heard still this question came to me, Why must I suffer so if God knows what is best for me?As my nights and days turned into months, and months turned into years, I could see my trust turn into doubt and my faith into fear, But in spite of all the bitterness through the darkness I could see there was a reason for the test and God knew what was best for me.So with everything within me I say yes to Thee, Oh Lord; Even though my faith gets weak, I'm standing on Your Word, So forgive me, Lord for doubting You when Your way I cannot see, Now I rest assured that You know what is best for me.So let the faint of heart take courage, let the weak one say I'm strong, God will exchange your gloom for gladness and your sadness for a song, Do not cast away your confidence, God will always see you through, He knows just what to do and He knows what is best for you.So with everything within me I say yes to Thee, Oh Lord; Even though my faith gets weak, I'm standing on Your Word, So forgive me, Lord for doubting You when Your way I cannot see, Now I rest assured that You know what is best for me.
