My profile on MySpace was originally started as way to stay involved with my adult daughter and my teenage son. It seems so long ago that I registered and would then promptly forget about it! In actuality, it has only been a matter of months. My life has been very chaotic to say the very least for the past few years and in reality for many years prior. That's what happens when you live in a home where you are a victim of domestic abuse. I have finally started moving past the nightmare of those years and have started to rebuild my life. I have learned over my lifetime to look for the positives in the bad things that happen in life, however, it's very hard to find the positives when you've lived with an abusive partner and your life has mostly been about trying to keep up a juggling act in your home. When I got back to doing something with this page I discovered how much I enjoyed putting it together even though I had no clue what I was doing. It has been at this same time that I'd become determined to find a way to make a positive come out of the past 10 years of my life. It suddenly occurred to me that with this page/space I have the perfect place to make this a reality. Therefore, I dedicate this page to Domestic Abuse/Violence Prevention, Human Trafficking Prevention, Animal Abuse Prevention, and Hunger & Homelessness Prevention. I will be adding information and links to this page frequently so please come back to visit!
I believe that every person on this planet has an obligation to try to make this world a better place to live in, in at least one small way! LIFE IS A GIFT and our time here is limited but our potential to live a life that makes a difference is unlimited.
Here's a little bit about the last 10 years of my life! There is evil that walks among us, I know as I've lived with it, a person with Narcisstic Personality Disorder. They are emotional vampires, they are emotional rapists, they are Ambassadors from Hell! I was married to a person with NPD - Narcissistic Personality Disorder for 8 years and spent 2 more years trying to legally untie myself from him. I only learned of this once I was trying to untie myself from this man. The emotional rapist I lived with targeted me, used me, then discarded me. He used Emotional Abuse to control me, to use me, to manipulate me. He set out to destroy me shortly after he'd walked away for the final time and had decided I was of no further use to him (as I now posed a potential threat to him as I could potentially expose him). Emotional abuse is lethal, as it erodes the very essence of who we are. Emotional Abuse is slow and insidious until one day we wake up and no longer know who we are. If you are living a life like this, I want to tell you that there's life past this and there's help out there, please reach out. I know as I have lived through it, I have reached out, I have found support and now "I'm Rising Up from the Ashes" of my once former hell and rebuilding my life!
