Cathrine Legardh , born 1973, jazz vocalist; swing, bebop and Nordic. Studied with Fionna Duncan (Scotland) and most recently in New York with vocal mentors Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton eg.. Just recorded together with Brian Kellock (p), Hugo Rasmussen (b), Jacob Fischer (g), Francesco Calà eg. CD will be out in spring or early summer '08.

Cathrine also writes and performs for children in NullerNix for sjov! , teaches singing, gives charity concerts (SOS-Børnebyerne, Dansk Røde Kors, Børns Vilkår eg.) and organizes the Fionna Duncan Vocal Jazz Workshops in Denmark.. And continuously works on building up the network among musicians, in particular jazz singers, in Denmark and abroad. Together with vocalist Mette Halle, she recently started up an open jazz mic, One Mic Stand , the last Sunday of the month at Café Intime.
