I'm Maria McTurk, living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I started my singing career singing classical in a choir and did a lot of touring in Denmark and Europe as well.
I have been involved in many bands and have done some theater, singing and dancing.
Later in my life I have been doing live and studio work, as well as songwriting, in many different styles with several artists, songwriters and producers.
- Since 1991, I've been singing backing vocals for the Danish progressive rockers Royal Hunt .
- Over the years I have been doing live gigs, singing jazz and pop with various musicians, both in Denmark and abroad. The gigs are mostly in clubs, cafees, at public and private events.
Currently, I'm working on my first solo album. I've spent most of the year so far writing songs and recording both in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Among the collaborators on the album will be Anders Ringman and Marcus Jidell .
