Mette Halle, born 1971.
Studied 4 years of jazz at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, Holland.
Musically her style contains the traditionals bebop and swing, though her own compositions takes more modern directions. Her way of arranging and composing is very elegant and creative.
In 2003 she started her own quartet, all danish musicians, whom she met during her time in Holland. Today they all live in Denmark and the quartet is now making its way into the Danish jazz scene.
August 2008 her first album is to be released. The album is produced by Chris Minh Doky and recorded together with Mikkel Jakobsen (pia), Jakob Fisher (gui) and Chris Minh Doky (bass).
Besides that she is organizing together with the danish jazz singer, Cathrine Legardh, a singers jamsession "One Mic Stand" which is secdualed the last sunday of every month at Cafe Intime, Allegade 25, 2000 Frederiksberg.
