About Me

Equally comfortable writing "quiet" or "extreme" horror fiction, author L. L. SOARES has had stories published in such magazines as Cemetery Dance, Horror Garage, Gothic.net, Lullaby Hearse and Aoife's Kiss, as well as the collections BEST OF HORRORFIND 2 (Edited by Brian Keene) and RIGHT HOUSE ON THE LEFT (from Novello Publishers).
He's also written tons of horror movie reviews. This includes a stint co-writing a humorous horror movie review column called CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT with Michael Arruda, which ran every month in the horror industry newsletter Hellnotes for over two years. Currently, he's a regular contributor to the very cool Australian horror movie website DVD RESURRECTIONS (http://www.dvdresurrections.com) His reviews there incude: Praey, Polymorph, Chaos, Imprint, Sensitive New-Age Killer,Feast, Kinky Kong & Visions of Suffering and a bunch more. He also has some reviews in the new issue of the magazine of extreme horror cinema, ULTRA VIOLENT.

I'm heavily into movies, books and music. Especially, but not limited to, horror. Other interests include: tattoos, iguanas, HENNESSY, evil puppets, carnival sideshows, COFFIN JOE, bloodsucking freaks, multi-headed demons, monster babies, CHIVAS REGAL, satanically-possessed conjoined twins, lesbian vampires, killer clowns, martial arts, the Howard Stern Show, CHARTREUSE, the Bubba The Love Sponge Show, comedy that's actually funny and all things horror.
