I am inspired to paint whenever I hear the sounds of Bob Marley, Fertile Ground, Grover Washington Jr., Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Damian Marley, Marvin Gaye, Erykah Badu, Portishead, Esthero, Michael Franks, Jamiroquai, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Curtis Mayfield, Hope, Ledisi, Zap Mama, John Legend, The Roots, Fela Kuti, Les Nubians, Jill Scott, Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Deborah Bond, Lina, Leela James, Common, Sweetback, Sade, Prince, Teena Marie, Bjork, Lizz Fields, Amel Larrieux, Alicia Keys, Buju Banton, Stephen Marley, Koop, Steptet, and so many more...but what can I say? I LOVE music, all kinds of music. Yes, ALL KINDS. I love the sound of voice and instruments. The sounds of the above mentioned and unmentioned artist moves my body and moves both of my hands when I paint.
