Purchase ph balanced: poetry and hiaku and psalms in L major
Multi-talented performing artist, Ti Kendrick Randall, is emerging as one of the East Coast’s ‘Grand Masters’ of the page. Also known as ‘Blessing’ for the way she blesses the microphone as a Spoken Word artist while simultaneously “blessing†souls; Ti has been a fixture on the Spoken Word scene for more than a decade. She has been privileged to perform as a featured artist at October Gallery, The Walt Whitman Center for the Performing Arts, and the world-famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem, to name a few.
Of her first collection of poetry ph balanced: poetry and haiku , Vision, of Philly Spoken Word duo QUIET RAGE, says "...Kendrick is careful not to waste a single word. The poetry stands up on the pages, and reaches out to you, drawing you near to whisper, sing, and shout in your mind. The reader feels her passion with every syllable as it is obvious that each poem is a branch from her heart, and her poetry in general is an extension of her soul on paper..."
Raymond Tyler, syndicated columnist, has said "...Kendrick’s poetry walks that tight rope, artists like Paul Robeson and Ossie Davis have walked for years between quality of art and importance of message. Her poetry gracefully balances the line between creativity and purpose..."
Always one to stir up her gifts, Ti has embraced the stage. Over the last decade, Kendrick has written six plays, performed in several full-length productions and staged readings, and teaches drama, creative writing, and creative process to adults and children. Her newest work Bigger Than You, has proven to be her most exciting theatrical accomplishment to date – marrying her love of poetry and theater. Bigger Than You, a solo show, chronicles the mainly fictitious accounts of several relationships gone horribly and hilariously awry – presented through the “love†and “less-lovely†poetry written both during and after the relationships.
Ti gives all of the glory to God for her gifts and talents and is a sought-after conference and workshop presenter. Ti is also the founder of dot-K Ministries and dot-K Consulting, serving as lay speaker, editor, and publisher. In addition to the aforementioned artistic endeavors, Kendrick Randall is a freelance journalist, contributing to both print publications and e-zines. She has written for Mic Life Magazine, SaVoy Magazines, Consciousness Magazines, Urban Profiles and others.
A life-long learner, Kendrick Randall holds a BA in Divinity from Andersonville Seminary and currently studies Creative Writing (emphasis on Poetry and Playwriting) at Vermont's innovative Goddard College. Ms. Randall is a 2006 Ira Aldridge Fellow in Poetry.
Ti is a member of St. Matthew’s Baptist Church in Williamstown, NJ where Dr. Raymond M. Gordon is the Senior Pastor. She currently resides in Delaware with her wonderful son, Elias.
