About Me

I'm a 48 year old prog-music enthusiast. I've been a fan of this music since
I heard Andy Latimer and Camel for the first time back in 1972.
For many years I thought that 'progrock-music' was dead,
but I've had the pleasure to discover that I was wrong.
Many talented artists have released great albums and I'm impressed
by the skills of the new young musicians and bands,
especially in the prog genre.
I'm amazed by their creativeness.
I will use my "My Space"-side to support bands and artists
that I like and some of those I've met here on "My Space".
Just follow this spot and find out who it'll be. :-)
I've changed from the ordinary MySpace-profile-songplayer to a MP3-player that plays several songs in order to give attention
and credit to those bands and artists that I think really deserve it.
Please note that the songs are NOT downloadable!
The MP3-player will function as a "jukebox"
to present these fine musicians.
I will vary songs from my collection of favourites.
I hope you'll like some of them. :-)
As you can see from my playlist I do have a manifoldly taste in music,
which in addition to prog includes jazz, jazzrock, funk, rock,
heavy rock, west coast AOR and folk music.

Next band out I'd like to support is UNITOPIA from Australia.
A few days ago I was presented to a new band by my good Swedish friend,
Mr.Tonnie Andersson.
The name of the band is Unitopia and the record is "More Than A Dream".
You all know, when you hear new music, it sometimes just hits you with a BANG, and this is the case with this album. This CD's got it all, and I LOVE it!
It's a wonderful mix of various kinds of elements in the prog-genre combined with some classical parts played by The Adelaide Art Orchestra.
My favourite songs are "Common Goal", "Justify" and "Slow Down".
The whole album is highly recommended, but I will especially emphasize "Justify" which gives me goosebumps while listening to it.
If you're searching for some new prog of a superb band, THIS IS IT!
Buy the CD, you won't regret it!
Click on their song "Justify" in my MP3-jukebox, - listen and be convinced! :-)
Unitopia are currently in the studio working on their follow up release to 'More Than A Dream'.
"More Than A Dream" was released in 2005.
Click on the CD-cover and buy the record.

What an album, WHAT A BAND!

"The Musical Box"
was phenomenal at
Oslo Konserthus
on March 31st. 2007.
I'm really grateful to the guys in the band for letting us be able to experience the magic of the original performance of Genesis from
1972 - 1973.

The show was perfect and much better than I expected.
I had goosebumps at times and could hardly believe what I heard and saw. :-)

Thank you guys,
we'll be back this autumn for
"The Black Show"!

Please enjoy

I like to travel. I'm abroad 3 to 4 times each year, both on vacation and just going with my wife or friends to see great bands and artists perform live in concert.

Unfortunately it's only in Norwegian, but I think you'll understand it nevertheless.

This clip is from Mad TV.
In this parody they're having fun with David Letterman,s "Late Show".
This clip is one of my favourites.

The highlight about this is definitely Will Sasso as Paul Schaeffer and of course the very sweet Nicole Sullivan as Meg Ryan. David Letterman is played by Jeff Richards.

I think it's hilarious. :-)

Hope you like it!
