About Me

Hi there. I'm Ron, the Dutch half of Ghost Circus. Ghost Circus is a transatlantic project between Chris Brown (Murfreesboro, TN, USA) and Ronald Wahle (Blijham, The Netherlands). The first album was released on Sept 12th 2006 by Prog Rock Records (CA, USA).
So.........I'm a composer who plays guitar (Ernie Ball and Line6), keys (all soft synths) and drums (Roland V-drums). Mostly for Ghost Circus, sometimes for audio-visual stuff and sometimes just for the fun of it!
Happily married to Anneke (since 1994) and father of Daniël (since 1997). :)
Anyway, this is not really a band page for Ghost Circus; the GC site is listed in the friends list below. On the other hand I have no idea what the page would be about anyway! There's work, there's my family and there's Ghost Circus. Oh and getting some sleep occasionally. :) So I'll bother you with a song of 2nd album "Across The Line" (released April 8 2008).
Apart from this tiny plug this page is for meeting new (music) friends, networking and having a good laugh.

My Interests

Music! Creating it, listening to it, reading about it, talking about it and bothering people about it, visiting concerts. Yep, music it is.

The incredible Hulk, the amazing Spiderman (I don't care much for regular spidermen......), David Hasselhoff...... and folks who dig Ghost Circus. And last but not least: cool people. Obviously!

Marillion, Genesis, Rush, Porcupine Tree, It Bites, Frost*, Blackfield, The Flower Kings, Neal Morse, Pink Floyd, Yes, Dream Theater, Fish, Transatlantic, Spock's Beard, IQ, Arena, Enchant, OSI, Kino, Coldplay, U2, Massive Attack, Talk Talk, Live, Kane, Toto, Peter Gabriel, Sting and The Police, Tears for Fears, Nik Kershaw, The Fixx, Kevin Gilbert, The Prodigy, Mutemath, Blind Ego, Darwin's Radio, Riverside, The Third Ending, Template, Work of Art, Amaran's Plight..... and some occasional trance/dance stuff (the melodic kind).
Then there are some amazing artists and bands I discovered here on MySpace recently: Unifaun, John Beagley, Unitopia, The Apex Theory. Go check them the fuck out all right! They rule.

Movies:

To much to mention. It could be anything. It either grabs me or it doesn't.

Television:

Not to much really; stupidity rules on TV. I try to catch the daily news and an occasional movie.
The only series I try not to miss are ER and House. And British/Irish comedy. Stuff like Eddie Izzard, Bottom, Blackadder, Harry Enfield, Catherine Tate, French and Saunders, Ali G, Father Ted, Little Britain.

Books:

Well, I just recently got back into reading. In the last couple of months I've been reading "Road Show" and "Ghost Rider" by Neil Peart and "Contents Under Pressure" by Martin Popoff. Last one I read was "Traveling Music", another one by Neil Peart. Yeah, I'm in a Rush all right. :)
