About Me

My name’s Stuart, but you can call me Stu.
Also known as ‘Old-school Stu’, ‘Stubaru’, ‘Metal Stu’, etc. But Stu’s fine.
I live in Scotstoun, a socially-divided area in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland, with my parents.
I was at Paisley University for 2 years doing a B.A. Languages course, then at Stow College doing HNC Business for half a year before i decided that student life and further education were not for me.
I am currently working in KFC but am looking for a better job.
I’m a die-hard heavy metal fan and I’m proud of it.
Metal is not only my chosen music, it’s my chosen way of life.
I like traditional/thrash/power/glam/death/black/progressive/stoner metal, as well as classic rock and punk.
Also don't mind a bit of grunge, classical music (especially filmscores), 50’s rock n roll/rockabilly, folk music and even the occasional 80’s tune.
But metal is my religion!!
I hate all those shit stale trends that try to call themselves metal, i.e. – emo, nu-metal, metalcore, pop punk, industrial, etc. It’s just not metal, dude!!!
Call me narrow-minded, self-opinionated or whatever, I don’t give a shit. I’m simply standing up and defending my love for what I believe in – and that’s TRUE METAL!!!!
I’m also into movies, reading, drinking, gigs, festivals, old videogames, hanging with mates, collecting records/cd’s, meeting new folk……. and a whole lot more.
I'm normally a bass player, but i'm the lead singer of upcoming thrash band, Kritikal Mass. We’re still trying to get things sorted musically and band-wise, but we do aim to be gigging/recording before autumn, so be prepared!
I'm happily taken with an awesome Bulgarian girl named Diana.
She's my metal queen!!!! ;)
