Glasgow based metal band Burning Earth was born and christened in Mid 2006 by Guitarist Stayrsaigh as a return to the gigging scene and platform to vent new material and songwriting skills after an absence of almost 2 years. The band play a style of melodic metal which fuses, powermetal, thrash, prog, folk, death metal and anything else they really feel like. The band comes together with a wealth of previous experience featuring ex-members of many great Scottish metal acts with Stayrsaigh himself an ex-member and co-songwriter of Dionysus , Drummer Martin Doyle formerly of Madman Is Absolute and Kyle Mcquarrie ex bassist for Argonath. Alongside this troop of ancient knowelege is Wull Hay, vocalist and Guitarist for Glasgow Black metalers Maelstrom , Beyond Despair Keyboardist Jaime "Virus" Cross and, after the departure of original guitarist Hendo, Baz Fitzsimmons of Glasgow power metalers Syth joined the band completing the lineup of this powerfull new force of melody, brutality and emotion.

"Chronicles Of The Calling" - 2007
The first E.P. "Chronicles Of The Calling", which was recorded and engineered by Stayrsaigh and released on 31st October 2007 on Psygnote records, has been met with much critical acclaim and continues to sell fast at gigs and online as word spreads!
"'Chronicles of the Calling' - A powerful melodic adventure. Like a good book or movie, once started you're gripped and held from the first note till the last and then left needing more. A defninite must have! If they continue to build on this performance it wont be long before they attract bigger interest."
- Paul Elliot, Scottishmetal.com/The Metal Underground

"After a start this promising, it can only be hoped that Burning Earth's output will remain this strong. The prospect of a full-length CD of this level of quality is an enticing one."

"They have a very bright future on the metal scene in the UK. Their stage presence was awesome, they were heavy as fuck from start to finish."
