MISS RUBY ANN
I like meeting new friends I've met at all the Rockin' gigs and ... But I'd have say I love to meet, talk and have a beer with Ray Campi Wanda Jackson and Bernie Dexter. Now that would be...Cool!
I would have loved to have met Elvis (pre 56), Sam Philips, Buddy Holly, Tooter Boatman (but not when he was a bouncer), Charlie Feathers, Warren Smith (I Got Love If You Want It - is about as cool as it gets) and Hank Williams snr. I almost met Billy Fury (the best British Rockabilly) at the Fairfield Halls Croydon. It still hurts.
The bar at Hemsby in the very early morning hours. Peter, Ross, Duke and Nick and Jodi, the 'Cool Couple' from New York.
We all had a blast drinking...
You can't beat the Rockabilly Rave
Volk (singer/songwriter), Duke (?) and Landon (new bass player with Jack Rabbit Slim) at the 10th rave.

Yes, just occasionally I read books! How to make drink guides, an A-Z of the town I'm in at the time, Biographies, anything by Joanne Harris, H.E Bates and good old Charles Dickens
Early Elvis, Ray Campi, Wanda Jackson, Cool Modern Rock n Rollers such as Josie Kruezer, Ruby Ann (what an amazing voice!) early Big Sandy, Eddie Clendening, The Mean Devils, The Madmen (topped the Rave two years in a row) and Miss Mary Ann. And all the Rockin' weekender promoters out there in Rockabilly Land
I just love the look and style of Dita Von Tease
