'Lonesome Rider' The Kansas City Cryers
The 1950's style rockabilly/country band 'The Kansas City Cryers' dont actually live in Kansas. Well not anymore at least. Originally born & bred in Kansas in the late 30's, the 'Cryers' were due to be the hottest rockabilly act of their time.
Cutting groundbreaking tunes, they were on the cusp of the mid fifties rockabilly wave until tragedy struck in the early months of 55'. During a short tour of Alaska a freak ice storm buried the boys alive freezing them in time and stealing away their sure to be success!
50 years later the frozen remains of the band were finally unearthed but sadly, due to administration errors, the block of ice containing the 'Cryers' was bizzarely shipped to England by mistake.
Thawed out and revitalised with the latest gene manipulation techniques of present day, 'The Kansas City Cryers' are finally back!

Unfortunately, the 50 year sleep has left the band in a slightly deteriorated state. Unable to remember any of their own songs, some said to be the wildest screamers ever concieved (only a few images of the records survive today), the 'Cryers' are slowly re-learning their instruments and working on cover songs of their former rockabilly peers. Who knows, hopefully one day they'll even recall their own original killer tracks!
The boys have since relocated to Uxbridge in West London (they cant even remember where Kansas is!) and are gigging once more since there 50 year absense!
So far the band have preached billy at clubs, parties and weddings, including The Hillbilly Hop, The Brighton Rumble, The Lady Luck, The Ace Cafe, The 100 Club, Viva Cake and the Bethnal Green WMC 'Cream Revue'; supporting acts including The Mad Men, Jack Rabbit Slim, The Bonneville Barons, The Tazmanian Devils and The Montgomery Music Makers!
