About Me

Name: David Wren aka Chilled Alaskan DJ aka Rise Of Black Dawn aka Sunuoka Birthplace: Not born yet Age: Still digging the womb How would you describe the music you are making?Kinda real with no eye on acceptance from any genre, just doing what feels right. What relevance does electronic music have in today's world? Electronic music, like any music placed in a box, has absolutely no relevance in today's world. The only thing having relevance is what we hear and what affects our consciousness, our hearts and how and if it moves us, either physically or emotionally. Music is sound and in today's world, with the aid of and abuse of electronic instruments, we can create sounds which don't exist in the natural world, not the ones that we hear anyway. So in that respect electronic machines have more relevance than electronic music. What music is influencing you right now? Pole, Authecre, Goldfish, Lark, Semsis, System of a Down, the acoustic guitar, African instruments and African music. The Killers, the Knife, the Smiths, Bob Marley, new drum n bass, LP Show. Describe your ideal night out: Sick, sick, sick, involving naked night surfing, cool, friendly people, someone like Prodigy, Massive Attack, Green Day, Lark doing live shows. The best chef's, the best barmen and bar women, perfect weather and the freedom to indulge our greatest fantasies without hurting another soul. What programs are you using? Sonar for final production, Ableton LIVE for ideas, jamming, rough arrangements and live sets. Reason for quick ideas, Reaktor for everything, Absynth, Free plugins, Guitar Rig.. -- -- -- -- CDBABY LINK for CHILLED ALASKAN DJ: Title X --

Influences: "There is a language older by far and deeper than words. It is the language of bodies, of body on body, wind on snow, rain on trees, wave on stone. It is the language of dream, gesture, symbol, memory. We have forgotten this language. We do not even remember that it exists."
