Stella Rose

Stella Rose has had a musical mind since the age of four. Born and raised in Toronto, she started her training with Kodai and Orff classes at the Royal Conservatory of Music. This preparation helped to develop an already keen sense of pitch and natural ability, at an early age. These years created the foundation for her eclectic vision and the way she sees, hears, feels and writes her songs. Stella's training continued further at Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts, where she studied voice and cello as her main instruments. This period also helped to foster performance and composition skills, through the creation and presentation of seasonal productions from the school repertoire. Growing up in a musical family, Stella always knew she'd find her way to the stage through song. This however did take some time. As a young adult working her way through the world, she kept the dream alive singing cover tunes at open stages around town. One day a great gift was bestowed upon Stella, a beautiful blue guitar named Daisy. She taught herself to play and initially wrote songs solely by ear, figuring out the chord progressions later. Yet, this was only the beginning of Stella's songwriting adventures. Her sensitive perceptive lyrics and unique soulful voice, ranges from soft and controlled, to powerful and raw. Lyrical sensibility and fluid vocal melody blend in harmony through her catchy songs. Her distinctive approach resonates with audiences wherever she plays. After two years of writing and performing her own music, Stella has crafted thirty seven and counting original songs. She hopes to continue to share them with more people through live and recording experiences. Stella leaves you wanting more and that is just what she'll give you. Stella Rose (and yes it's her real name), shows no signs of slowing down as the songs continue to flow from her soul.
