Michael started studying music as a child attending St.Michael's Choir School in Toronto.Piano and vocals were taught at school while Michael learned the Tin Whistle,Accordion and Irish Dancing on his own time.He could be the first Canadian male to choose dancing over hockey. Michael's first band "Cuchulain's Lament" was formed in 1993 in Oakville ont.The band played steadily in the Toronto area for a time before various members branched off to form new acts.Supacheez,Vitamin G And finally The Michael O'Grady Band.The name has changed over the years but the quality of musicians who have and continue to share the stage with Michael never has.This is evident in his live performances aswell as on Michael's debut cd "The Legend of Teabagger Vance." Michael has recently joined The Legendary "Mahones".The band just finished a European tour which left both the audiences and the band wanting more.
