Swingville was formed in september 2007, by folk musician Christopher Hutchinson and Mark Lubbers, who studied jazz at the Dutch School of Music. Both guitar players met via other folk musicians and soon after were already doing shows together. A few weeks later the Gypsy Swing Jazz band Swingville was created.
Our repertoir
An evening with Swingville is an evening full of swing and dance rythms and easy-listening ballads. We love playing the many swinging Django Reinhardt tunes, the beautiful slower gypsy swing jazz tunes and Nat King Cole songs. :-)
Locations & events
Swingville is suited for any event. We've played at the bigger stages at festivals (Whiskey Festival of the North Netherlands), on many small stages at private parties, whiskey tastings, pubs & clubs or as background music on birthday parties, in art galleries or museums.
