Toronto singer/songwriter Kim Jarrett has been quietly collecting fans with her smart and pervasive live presence, and mature, straightforward songs, since the release of her self-titled debut CD in September 2002.With influences ranging from 1980’s Top 40, to 70’s rock and beyond, Kim’s music is a pleasing blend of pop, roots, country and folk. Often described as folk/blues - her clear, strong voice, combined with her personal lyrics, has universal appeal. Her songs, and the single, "Do I Have the Patience", have been featured on regular adult contemporary, CBC, and college radio stations from St. John’s to Vancouver, and “How Longâ€, the opening track from her self-titled debut, can be found pre-loaded on Philips Electronics mp3 players sold worldwide.Since 2006, Kim has also been lending her voice as an occasional live and session backing vocalist, as well as co-hosting weekly open mics and other songwriter events in Toronto with her longtime bassist and backing vocalist, Mike Costantino. Together, the duo perform over 100 shows a year at bars, restaurants, private parties, corporate events, and festivals, sharing stages with both new and established artists, including a festival support slot for Canadian 80’s pop group, The Spoons, in 2007.
