About Me
I have been playing bass since 1976 and have worked with many great artists including Virgin recording artists One, Aquanaut, Kim Jarrett, Chad Richardson, Monarch Brothers, Tony Springer, Terry Sumsion, Ken Tobias etc. and have performed throughout North America in such venues as Toronto Skydome, Molson Park, The Orphium, The Commodore, etc.
I have been fortunate enough to share stages with major stars like Van Halen, The Tragically Hip, Spinal Tap, Amanda Marshall, Big Sugar, Moist, George Jones, Tanya Tucker The Good Brothers, and many many more.
I have also been producing music since 1987 and have composed/produced music for TV and major motion pictures such as Men of Means (1999), The Shepherd (1999)
I have uploaded some examples of projects that I have been involved in, and I will upload more examples from time to time, so check back regularly.
I am currently working as an accompanist and/or producer with a number of singer/songwriters in the Toronto area including Kim Jarrett, Stella Rose, Nadjiwan, Astrid Young, Monica Schroeder, Chris Casserly, and more...
In addition to music, I am also a bit of a computer nerd, I've been working with computers and networking since 1982 and have designed and built many systems and networks.
I worked at Rogers Communications for a number of years as a network analyst. I am currently managing several networks that I built for various recording studios and composers in the Toronto area. but mostly, I've been operating my studio "Mike's Kitchen" in downtown Toronto, cutting demo's and releases for local artists, and having a great time!
