About Me

Welcome to P.W.Farrell 's MySpace Profile
Bass Guitar is my main obsession. I've been fortunate enough to tour through Papua New Guinea, Japan, Malaysia and perform in the Caribbean on the world's largest cruise ship. In the studio I have album credits on local releases such as Levi: Lethbridge (Musik 1 Remix of Handcuffs Off). Television appearances include 'Good Morning Australia' (with Bert Newton), 'The Queensland Fashion Awards' and Channel Nine's 'Extra'. I've also worked closely with such Brisbane dance heavies as DJ Ricky Rae and Musik1. In my own studio I play guitar, keys and bass and am steadily building a portfolio of songs.

The Bass ist
As a player I've worked in every style - through most of Australia and Asia. Festivals credits include Tamworth Country Music Festival, Kuala Lumpur's Hennessy sponsored "Meet the Artist" series and Queensland's iconic Woodford Folk Festival.
On January 2006 I supported Claire Trentain on her tour of Tokyo. A return trip is in the works. But this time it's MY stuff!
I have done some clinics for Eden Amplifiers and Phil Jones Bass (who via NET are an endorser). My trio,"Traffic", has been featured in local press such as the 4MBS and 4ZZZ radio stations in Australia.
The Producer / Songwriter
I actually wrote songs before I picked up bass. This is my main non-bass focus these days. I find it easy to sit down and knock out a song. It was only recently that I realised how rare that is. I'm definately including that in my direction nowadays. I'm also active as a programmer/producer. On the rare occasion that this music is commercial-dance I write under the alias of Marshall Rd Exit. I'm not really genre specific. Most of my electronica is jungle or drum'n'bass.....I think.
Album
I have decided to stop wasting time and release an album. It took a while because I thought I could resolve my eclectic influences into one sound...alas I have failed at this. So you'll have to be content with crazy electro-fusion tracks followed by guitar and vocal crooning ! Hope you dig it - there's some awesome tunes coming your way!
