An avid collector of drum kits and snare drums, Roby also wrote articles including a regular column in Drumscene magazine, called "Roby's Corner". He's also an ambassador for Yamaha drums hence the nickname "Mr Oak Custom", and a passionate teacher, presenting workshops all over Australia including the 2005 Ultimate Drummers Weekend and the 2004 Ausmusic week. While performing with Justin Connor and the Soul Passengers Roby found the time to engineer and produce their EP - 'Why Do You Want Me'. Throughout the last year he's been busy performing with Hey Gringo, Bobby Bright and the BB band , CRC, Jimmy Couples (Live on Bert Newton's GMA), Keep Real, Elevator, Sodium, Cut The Jive... Live televsion and radio credits include; The Footy Show, Bert Newton, The Denise Drysdale Show, Rage, MTV, ABC (LIVE), 3AK (LIVE), Wilbur Wildes Lunchtime Cafe 3TT, (LIVE), RRR, MMM, 3PBS (LIVE).
