Biography« My passion, my Life is the MUSIC »A Black Star is born…Celma Ribas Mendes De Carvalho was born 22 years ago in Angola. The young Celma has always been fond of music and it has always taken a great part into her life... It became her way of life since she started singing at 5, when she joined the choir of her hometown church.Young Celma performed during various shows and the audience was more and more impressed by such a young talent; she sang for local events, school parties and she appeared in several TV shows in Angola till the age of 10. Indeed, the year after, she moved to Germany.Her show must go on...When Celma came to Germany, she first started dancing because she had never thought seriously of becoming a singer. She wanted to study dance, choregraphy and she did. However, she would amaze everybody around her because she couldn’t help singing when dancing. Her friends pushed her into giving a try and she felt she had talent: singing became her second passion. Celma finds inspiration from singers suchs as Mary J. Blige, Erikah Badu, Beyoncé Knowles, Janet Jackson, Musiq Soulchild,Monica,john legend.....If she could make it there, she’ll make it anywhere...In 2002 miscel took part in a song contest in a famous club that she won. Universal had a serious look at her song This is my life and was to collaborate with her, which she refused because the song was too personal to her.In 2003, Miscel was one of the last thirty competitors of TV show Popstars and despite the fact she didn’t take part in the finals, she never thought of giving up singing.In 2004, she manage to be among the last seven competitors. Then, she focused on her lyrics, she wrote many new songs and took singing lessons to improve her technique.She started recording some of them and continued to performs in many shows. Recognition came when she shared the scene with artist like Akon, Montell Jordan,Fredo Starr, Horace Brown, Shai,Brixx,Valezka,112,dj whoo kid,black eyed peas...!The last one was with the famous crew “G-UNITâ€,†BLACK EYED PEASâ€.And if she could make it there, sure she will make everywhere.A star is born….
