About Me

CD now available from CDBaby.com.

Singer / songwriter Wayne Myers has been bashing his head against the brick wall of eclecticism since 1971, though it took a good thirteen or fourteen years until he actually started picking up a guitar and writing what he euphemistically refers to as 'songs'. Stylistically parked squarely in the middle of blues, folk and jazz without actually being any of those things, the tunes deal with Wayne's favourite themes of love, loss and computer games, though it might take a closer reading of some of the texts than is normally reasonable to really justify the latter.
As well as playing bass for various other bands ( Shinri and the Mediator , My Scarlet Darling , Vivachi and Pacwoman ), Wayne has also in the last few years finally managed to stay focussed enough to work on his own projects. Since January 2006 he has drawn around a couple of hundred cartoons at conniptions.org , and finally made good on his threat to release a CD under the self-destructively silly name Fit and The Conniptions on July 22nd of this year.
There have been a number of gigs in the last year - arguably too many - in which Wayne has been fortunate enough to play with various excellent drummers, bassists and horn players, some of whom have even returned to play with him a second or a third time, though there is as yet no regular line-up.Cartoons - Here CD - Buy it from CD Baby Mp3s - Preview the CD plus more Videos - Over On YouTube Mailing list - Send mail to list-subscribe at conniptions.org to join.
You can find out more about Wayne at his other myspace page which is dedicated to what he euphemistically refers to as his 'solo acoustic project'.

Nothing’s Any Fun Any More
