Band Members: "While the women of The L Word were a huge draw for many attendees, some of the most memorable performances of the evening were delivered by actors who aren't yet household names... Bridget Gray, who performed "The Little CoochiSnorcher That Could" gave electrifying performances that had me and the rest of the audience mesmerized." -Review from AfterEllen.com ____________________________________________________________ _______________ "...the only one to leave an impression was model tall and sassy Bridget Gray, whose delivery is more like spoken-word meets comedy." -THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER ____________________________________________________________ _______________ "...clusters of the audience springing out of there seats, fists raised in the air for the ultimate. Gray got the fists and the shouts." -LOS ANGELES TIMES ____________________________________________________________ _______________ "Every Performance she gave was followed by a well-deserved standing ovation." -THE HIGHLANDER RADAR ____________________________________________________________ _______________ "Bridget Gray, tall and striking in camouflage pants and a "Got Soul" T-shirt rapped her way through several of her spoken-word poems as the audience watched raptly." -DAILY NEWS ____________________________________________________________ _______________"I had the pleasure of meeting Bridget at a recent tapping of "Def Poetry" in New York. From the moment she stepped on stage, she became the teacher and we became the students." -Bloommag.com ____________________________________________________________ ______________"Bridget's "Letter to Hip-Hop" seamlessly blends in the mix. Scott Silva of KCRW reads our minds. Check the sounds of the times. Hear the future. Minutes later he comments that Bridget's poem gets more calls than anything else he plays and he plays some cutting edge ish." -UNDERGROUND.NET ____________________________________________________________ _______________"Bridget Gray stepped up in the most amazing coat I have ever seen. A hand knitted coat of many colors and the way the light strung beads across her shoulders. Well, I don't know how I'd missed it before but I hadn't noticed how delicate, how exquisite, how regal her cheekbones. It was appropriate for her to start with her signature piece "Shades of Gray." The last time I'd heard this piece it was during a slam and it packed a punch. She was beautiful and sassy and I know that I for one wanted to be her and definitely wished that I'd written it. But that's part of what is so unique about her, her pieces could never be mistake for anyone else's. Last night her edge was different. In this intimate setting, she exposed to us a side of Women that is in essence in all of us: The part that we as Women are forever trying to hide. She simply spread her colors out on the floor in front of us: so brave and open. She was everything that I admire about that certain type of Woman, her. She was everything...EVERYTHING, but gray. She got a standing ovation...[This]woman stepped up beautiful and stayed beautiful, no I take that back...got more beautiful."-BEVERLY HILLS OUTLOOK ____________________________________________________________ _______________ "...poet Bridget Gray, an outspoken woman whose acting chops have landed her TV work on series such as "The Hughleys" and videos including one as Madonna's sidekick in her "Music" video...In her poetry, she touches on issues of woman's rights, as well as questions of race, love, abuse, life and heatbreak. The gamut..." - LONGBEACH PRESS TELEGRAM ____________________________________________________________ _______________ [She] is "tough," Davis said. "She's righteous, and she has been through a lot of things. She's not stupid, not a sucker. She's also warm, friendly and softspoken..." -ADWEEK_____________________________________________________ ______________________
