..I've been writing since I was eight years old and speaking in public longer than that. Poetry is my lifestyle, my religion and my weapon of choice. Words are powerful. And poetry has saved my life. When I first saw live spoken word, a few years back, I felt a calling. It was more than getting bit by an acting bug. It was more like a spiritual hunger to share and be fed by this world of spoken word. Since that awakening, I have been performing at venues all over the United States, including NY, TX and CA. I am honored to have competed well enough to become a member of the 2006 Ventura101 slam team who will compete in the National Poetry Slam in August. I have a cd entitled "Cayenne", and am currently recording my sophomore debut. The songs on my profile feature some of my newer work.
