ALBUM OUT NOW ON NONCLASSICAL RECORDS

About Me

We are a lovely quartet of stringed things. We play all types of music and noises (we're particularly good at the noises). Over the last couple of years we've performed in a beautiful multi-media installation by Dominic Murcott based on films of us all asleep, supported Hot Chip, featured on the soundtrack to Sweeney Todd (BBC1) and Time Trumpet, been filmed for the Killa Kela video "Secrets" and played/improvised/sung on his Elocution album, scraped and plucked and hummed and whispered things in Brussels with Simon Fisher Turner...most recently we've worked with Max De Wardener on some new pieces, collaborated with Adem, performed George Crumb's "Black Angels" in York, had a lovely electronic piece written for us by Graham Fitkin, played on the beach of the river Thames, travelled to Belgium to play a festival and scraped up the hire van, recorded the 2nd Gabriel Prokofiev album (out now on Nonclassical label!), improvised with Damo Suzuki from Can at the Purcell Room, improvised at a fire festival (Luminox) in a bandstand lit by fire, toured Britain with Adem/Richard Swift/Nina Nastasia, and recorded our own EP of our own music. You can buy it off us for a fiver here: ............................................................ ............................................................ .............................
