Alice Stuart & The Formerlys

Voted Seattle's Best Guitarist 2005

About Me

Alice Stuart and the Formerlys are all pro veterans of the music industry. After her folk career, mostly as a solo artist, and a brief stint with Frank Zappa, Alice formed Snake with Bob Jones and Karl Sevareid from the band Southern Comfort. They joined Alice on her 2nd album for Fantasy Records, "Believing" and remained with her until she dropped out of music for 20 years to raise her children. Her current band, The Formerlys, includes bassist Marc Willett, who has played with many well-known NW groups, i.e., The Kingsmen, The Rangehoods, and Stolen Ogre as well as many others. Drummer, Rick Boice, has played in many of these same bands with Marc since Jr. High School. Keyboardist, Steven Flynn, is a much sought after keyboard & session musician. They are a dynamic mixture. They released their first CD "Live at the Triple Door" in 2006 and their first studio CD "Freedom" has a street date of July 2007.
