The Gift of Music is a benefit for The Guitar Center Music Foundation in its efforts to improve the state of music education across the country. This one-time event will include an art exhibit, live music, a silent auction and celebrity guests. The proceeds from this event will put instruments in school music programs, after-school programs for low-income youth and music programs for the physically and/or mentally disabled. With your help, we can make a difference in people's lives with a gift that lasts a lifetime.
The art exhibit will feature bold, saturated guitar giclees by Paul Thatcher; please visit Absolute Arts for a preview.
The live music, courtesy of Koffeehouse, will include jazz and emerging singer/songwriters Shawn Hlookoff, John West and Kari Kimmel.
The silent auction will feature pieces signed by Incubus, Mick Fleetwood, and Slash.
The foundation will also raffle off a guitar signed by celebrity and artist guests. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased with admission.
All guests will have full access to meet the celebrities and musicians.
