Grover teamed with musician/guitarist/co-writer Willie Curr, along with Jim Watson on bass guitar, and Chris Atkinson on drums, to release his debut CD Nowhere To Run, to critical acclaim. It also garnered him the Artistic Trailblazer of the Year Award, presented to him by Airplay International
Rhonda Lee of Kentucky Dreaming Magazine said that "Windham's Nowhere To Run just proves you have to go underground to find the best music today'.
Grover himself says "he's heard lots of comparisons". I've heard everything from John Mellancamp, Bob Seger, to Hank Williams Jr", but says he'll "just keep writing what he feels and release music on his own terms". He says he is "always too busy for studio time in Sping, Summer, and Fall, because of his band's busy bike rally schedule. Between Myrtle Beach (Spring and Fall), and lots and lots of smaller biker events, the studio will just have to wait. Playing live for the people is where my heart is now".
"Maybe some Winter, when things slow down a little, I'll get that second recording done. Good songs with some great musicians/co-writers, like Willie Curr, Audi Harrelson,Juan Valdes,Jim Watson, and Jay Harris have already been written for it".
