I mezzi sono pochi, ma la determinazione è tanta per l’epoca e l’età, e così l’anno successivo compaiono i primi due brani pubblicati in una compilation (St. Antony’s Fire; Grillo Records) e subito dopo la prima demo. Cominciano così a essere conosciuti nell’ambiente rock italiano, e nel 1985 arriva il primo album “The Black Opera”, che con Lady’s Crying For Me andrà in classifica in due radio francesi. Da qui, concerti in tutta la nazione, crescita e cambi di line up, primi posti in concorsi musicali, che portano il gruppo al secondo album, nel 1993: “The Reason Why”, prodotto da Gala Records e distribuito da Ricordi. Questo lavoro diffuso in Nord Europa, in Giappone e Canada (paese in cui verrà prodotto il singolo You And Me per un’artista locale) sarà promosso con il supporto alla tournèe italiana Guitar Noir di Steve Hackett, ex Genesis. Il disco, ri-registrato e ri-mixato per il Regno Unito col titolo di “Never Enough”, non verrà pubblicato solo per un disguido fra case discografiche. A questo fatto seguono anni di distacco, durante i quali i musicisti seguono strade separate e progetti solisti. Finalmente, nel 2005 la riunione, con l’arrivo di Andy Fabrice alla batteria per la composizione e l’arrangiamento dei 12 brani del nuovo “Breath”, prodotto da Max Pastore, che esprime un nuovo corso della band, nell’ispirazione della musica e dei testi, e ricco di ottimi collaboratori alla registrazione in studio, come Gabriel Ogrin alle tastiere e sequenze dei brani e Tiziana Guerra alla voce, che arriva dopo innumerevoli e vari progetti fra i più diversi generi musicali. Anche la successiva promozione live vedrà ottime sorprese, come la stessa Tiziana nella line up, e la partecipazione di Enrico Santacatterina, amico da sempre, produttore e turnista eccellente e quarto musicista poliedrico. S.WORD.S Are born in 1981, from a Kess Mc May and Max Pastore idea, still in high school times. Means are not many, but resolution is great for the times and their age, so one year afters they appear with two songs in a rock compilation (St. Anthony’s Fire; Grillo Records) and few months after with the first demo. They start to be known in the italian rock movement, and in 1985 the first album is done: “The Black Opera”, that rises in French radio charts with the song Lady’s Crying For Me. From here, many live cocerts all the nation over, growing and changing their line up, first prizes in music contests, and the band arrives to the second album, in 1993: “The Reason Why”, produced by Gala Records and distributed by Ricordi. This album for Northern Europe, Japan and Canada (where were extracted the single You And Me for a local singer), had a live promotion supporting the Guitar Noir Tour of Steve Hackett, ex Genesis. The record was re-recorded and mixed for United Kingdom, titled “Never Enough”, but for discographic misunderstandings never published. After this, the band stopped for some years, and the musicians followed solo project. Finally, in 2005, the reunion, arriving Andy Fabrice behind the drums for composition and arrangment of the 12 songs + 2 bonus tracks in the new “Breath”, produced by Max Pastore, that shows the new life of the band in music and lirycs inspiration, full of valuable collaborations into studio recording, like Gabriel Ogrin(Nodus) for keyboards and sequencing, and Tiziana Guerra on vocals, a special guest from a great and various experience. Live promotion too will be full of surprises, with Tiziana in the line up and the participation af Enrico Santacatterina, excellent musician and producer, and good friend of the band. Stay tuned...
