Eureka, the Band

About Me

Eureka is the sudden bright idea of drummer / producer Matt Williams. To pick and choose from some of the best artists in the Northwest that he has had the pleasure to work with, then to showcase these artists surrounded by the best musicians he could find. This format lends itself to a diverse and musically exciting display of the great talent and styles that Matt has come across. After thirteen years in the Seattle area, he's come across quite a few. At this time, Eureka consists of Doug Kearney, slide guitarist and songwriter from Alexandria, Louisiana. Doug's southern-fried soulful groove, and tasty solos, give Eureka a powerful impact that few in the industry can best. Next is Roger Williamson, Guitarist/songwriter from right here in the PNW. Roger has been singing since birth, and has spent many years on the honky-tonk night time bar circuit, appearing onstage with many of the Northwest's biggest names. Putting a rythm section behind these great artists has been made easy with the discovery of Rick Wagner, out of Melba, Idaho. Rick was found hiding out in the area's jam night venues, just waiting for someone to recognize his untapped talent. Eureka found young Rick, and quickly put him to work laying down the big groove.Matt is pleased and proud to present this group of fine musicians. Not only because of their talent, but they're also a great bunch of guys that have a lot of fun playing music together. So have a look around, check out the music, and come out to see Eureka real soon!
