Ok, ok! Now to get to you. How ya'll doin?? I truly hope things are great and your all keepin' it positive for the new year and always! This new year, I look forward to meetin many more of you creative, inspired, driven souls, that share the experience of tryin to balance the hustle in this crazy game! Yes, I'm talkin' to all you creative types who are tryin to express to the max those inner thoughts and feelings, either through art, music, entertainment , dance and more! My eyes and ears are open and I'm pumped, so bring it ya'll!!! ;) Just keep it comin' and keep believin'. That, I think is the name of the game. That and; educatin', participatin', dedicatin' and perseverence, on top of the raw talent and business sense that ya gotta have, and we on our way! We gotta make things happen! "Just do it", as they say. ;)I truthfully believe in invisioning your goals and making them become your reality. Hard work and perseverence pays off, ma dad always says! Thank God, I've been blessed by his example! Always givin' thanks.Even if ya dont have that good example, you can create it. If you lack a support system, make it! Surround yourself with positive, successful people and you will see the way. Always still learning and enjoying it daily! Trust me when i say that; It's about the decisions we make and who we look to for inspiration aswell, that drives us to become doer's! haha. Movers and shakers! Find someone, anyone, who can inspire you and drive you to achieve. If you don't think you have it in yourself, make the decision to be a believer. If your heart is in it, and you don't give up, you will succeed. I truly believe! ;-) We have to believe and try our best to keep smilin', even through the pain, to win!I have been very blessed in the last few years, and alot of hard work that was done over the years of my commitment to me, has begun to really pay off. Given the opportunity to do my thing over seas, has been fantastic and Asia is extremely beautiful! I am still travelling, touring and writing towards my album and I'm loving it! Much work ahead as always, but thank you all for your support and encouragement. Without that, I won't be here or as strong as I am today. Bless!I've been sooo fortunate to get the opportunity to travel to Asia thru'06 and now am back again for a while sangin' and yes, doin what i love, desire and am great at! Entertaining. It's my life, and part of what I live for! ;)I've been dancing since I was able to move, and short after started singin' with ma dad since about 3.I am so fortunate to have a great father who went out of his way to bring me to dance classes as a child and even young adult. He'd sing and play guitar for me nightly, on my bedside. I love him soooo for that. What a gift to give a child! His influence, both parents musical collections and passions, inspired and influenced me majorly. From Motown's favorites like the Fourtops, Platters, Rick James to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder to Crystal Gayle and Lionel Richie. Can't forget the sexy Smokey Robinson, Pat Benetar and Barbara Streisand to Barry White, Rufus and more... My first concert with my dad was "Barry White" actually, at the Ontario Place Forum in T.O, where I grew up, in Canada. I was wowed for real! I can still see it. Memories! ;)I am honoured and greatful for all the support of my family and friends who have been behind me every step of the way, watching me hustle and encouraging me for the most part, as much as they could even when alot of them have no idea, really what is involved in this beast of a business, or what I do daily to be in it! A for effort! ;-)ha. We gotta share the love people and realize that sometimes, parents just don't understand...haha. I love Fresh Prince man!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to Television!? Comedy..? Back in the days kinda music & the magic. Well, I'll give it up to David Chappell, hope that's how ya spell it! haha. Damn, he's on it for real!I always get people thinkin and assuming since i was young that I'm some rich white kid that had everything and lived in high park or somethin, but reality is that I grew up in a real ghetto part of T.O and the roots and culture, hardtimes i endured, seriously opened my eyes and the music and harshness of a 'project' like neighbourhood, trust me. It makes ya have to grow up fast. Wheither ya like it or not! May not have been New York but Lord knows I saw enough to make my mind up from a young age that I wanted a better life for myself and wasn't gonna get caught in the trap! I am so happy, and blessed that I saw the light. When i saw all the young girls gettin' pregnant, and pure SH_ goin' down, I was like! Not me man!!! Makes me a stronger woman everyday, and has prepared me with a tough skin needed for this business, that's probably 98% male dominated. It ain't easy either! Now, because of the cultures I grew up surrounded by. I can relate to so many different types of people and be comfortable in any setting! Lesson's, bless them. haha <P Asia has helped open my eyes aswell to a whole other world! There's soooooo much out there if ya take the chance to open your eyes and see. 'Just do it' as they say and dream. The world is your Oyster! Believe and again, make it happen.Well, that's a bit about me and what's in ma mind to share at the moment.
