A part of his new 'World Tour' at Kuala Lumpur's very popular "Zeta Bar"; 5 star Hilton Hotel, Malaysia. Sarah, being the featured resident vocalist, also named by local and international press as; The 'Sexy Soul Diva "Sarah Daye"! Sarah free styled over the hottest house music, acid jazz & rare grooves while performing her heartfelt, soulful yet funk driven originals, and collaborating with resident dj 'Venetia' from the U.K of 'Lovely Pear' reputable Indie label out of London. Accompanied by a 3 piece international improvisational band, Sarah's high energy, entertainment and interactive skills made a lasting impression and stirred the place creating the heat she brings to every performance. Following Sarah's feature in KL's "Hilton", this very talented, sexy, charismatic, soul songstress was scouted by Mr. Tan Sri Francais Yeoh of 'YTL' to feature at the JW Marroit "Starhill Gallery Mall", Shouk Stage and later opened the newest and hottest jazz club in KL, 'Tiff's jazz lounge' or "Tiffin'Bay", by day! It was the newest addition to the luxurious 'Starhill Gallery' designer, top end mall, which is full of rich experiences and located in 'Bukit Bintang', KL Malaysia. YTL, is a very well respected international multimillion dollar company that organized also the likes of such international sensations in concert as 'Pavarotti' & "The three Tenors", a few years ago in the Uk. Sarah was honoured to work for and be scoutted international among such prestige artist's and stars that have been brought in from all over the world. In The Beginning At a very young age, Sarah smartly chose to study the arts, focusing on song and dance. She began singing and dancing at the age of 3 and quickly began performing at the tender age of 5! Always a mover and a shaker. After years of training, performance and mastering dances in the form of Jazz, ballet, hip hop, freestyle & latin, throughout her dance career. Sarah discovered and developed her own form of free-style expression, which put her in the position to be chosen to choreograph and feature in nation wide commercials, video's, television and major stage productions such as; "Rainboworld", Written and co-produced by the Blues pioneer herself, Miss Salome Bey with help from the 'The Young Peoples Theatre', Canada.Sarah eagerly moved forward to gain great experience in television, film, live performance and theatre over the years, and through all her training, dedication and perseverance, she has been able to sustain a balanced, successful and very interesting career. Sarah always keeps connected and involved in the industry professionally within the scene, no matter what. She creates her own scene at that,where ever she goes, and makes her mark quickly. With consistant positive vibes and great spirit, Sarah strives to share with the world and continues to impress where ever she goes. Miss Daye has been a feature vocalist for the very popular 'Quadrasonic' live party series taken place in Toronto, Canada aswell which, for years featured multiple imported dj's, a live resident band that backs most of T.o's top performers monthly including the likes of Ivanna Santilli, Estero and many more of Toronto's international recognized talents and/or rising stars. Sarah Daye takes great pride in involving herself with the community and the underground scenes in Toronto and internationally. 2006 Sarah participated in a yearly"Tsunami Charity Event" in Phuket, Thailand now taking place at the famous "Chedi" resort in support of the children affected, rebuilding of schools, homes and educational equipment and supplies, food and shelter neccessary for the needy. The Charity was very successful and Sarah has been asked back again for a next years performance debut which she will gladly attend! Right out of Toronto, Canada. This well rounded star on the rise has had the great experience headlining and singing with the likes of very popular local bands before even leaving her city and country for greater success and international exposure. Sarah sang with and featured solo with backing from "The Quartertones', featured with "God made me funky" and has had a few spotlights frontin' the famous Quadrasonic parties with international Dj's and the house band A great acid jazz, soul, funk fusion band whom she freestyled with aswell. known for her freestyle savy soulstress movements, mc ability sharing the stage & showcasing other talents, heading showcases and more... She is a fabulous frontliner with fire! Sure to get good energy. Internationally touring and performing through South east Asia has been wonderful for Sarah's career as a recording artist and all around entertainer, producer and leader of her own career. She has gained much respect and recognition through her journey's.Sarah has experienced life lessons and learned from the many greats she has worked with along the way. Many Industry professionals and respected artists she has come to work with and meet, have honoured her with the title of a real seasoned crooner. One of the most memorable accomplishments in Film for Sarah in the last few years, is dancing in the feature film "Honey" starring Jessica Alba. Sarah worked for 2mnths alongside some of the best in the business including the director "Billy Woodriff" who'm she was very glad to meet and work. Sarah Daye has performed on; 'The Mike Bullard Show', was a featured guest singer on 'Breakfast Television' for MuchMusic Canada, and she has been featured in many music videos, film's, television series and theme park productions like; Ontario place, Canada's Wonderland, and the CNE Bandshell for instance; opening for 'Jill Scott' and 'Mos Def' a major highlight, and backing famous Canadian International Artist's such as Canada's hiphop Icon; Maestro (Fresh West), Soul singa 'Jully Black' & poet 'Dwayne Morgan' accompanied by her fellow "Dodat Dance Company" on several showcases, events and video's etc..! ( Dodat Choreographer:'Luther Brown' who has worked with superstars such as; Usher, Brandy, Missy Elliot, Mario, Faith evans, Shawn Desman, Keisha Chante and more..) Sarah still dances and choreographes her own shows aswell as artist director, musical director and producer.Acting always aswell a pursuit, followed by her career as a Singer/Songwriter, experienced Dancer/Choreographer; This baby daughter of a former self taught folk and blues guitarist/singer, instantly emerged into her recording career fulltime, with her expressive heart driven vibe and desire to sing, write and share her life experiences and struggles with the world, after losing her mother to cancer and diabetes in Dec 2002. Sad, but a new driving force in Sarah's life to continue to take all her energy and put it into her passion and desire's in life, to move forward 100%. Sarah has had great pleasure in the last few years collaborating with her favorite local artist's from Toronto Canada with pride aswell; such artist's you'll want to checkout as; Belinda, Jennie Laws, Erik Simins,Chris Rouse, and the funk unit 'The Blackburn's, Cesar recently from Viena on a new collaboration single for the album in the works, and the list get's bigger with travels.
