About Me

Music has been the biggest part of my life.... As a child it was the cure to my lonliness being that I was an only child. My first time singing in front of an audience was when I was 5 yrs old and from that point I always knew what I wanted to do in my life. Along the way I have tried other things... I became a fashion/editorial make-up artist, I tried my hand at interior design and Photography but, Music never leaves me and I always end up back in the studio where im most comfortable... I wrote my first song at 10yrs old and had joined my first band at 16... It took being in a few bands and groups to realise that I really wanted to be a solo artist... My first solo record 'Poetical love' went to number 1 in the soul/rnb charts for 7 weeks and went on to become a cult classic among the authentic soul lovers... More records were to follow and lots of street soul compilations. I grew up around hip hop and real soul music and have many influences.. Im also Mixed raced (father is sudanese, mother is Irish) So all these things influenced my tastes in music and gave me inspiration to create music of my own. Currently Im working with phuturistix on a new soul album and have recorded several broken soul songs with them one of which ('Fly Away') was magically re-mixed by the one and only Mark De Clive Lowe.. Im looking forward to working with him more in the very near future. Look out for releases on Phuturistix in early 2006. I also have a finished album called '360 Degrees' with shenshen music which has 17 neo-soul joints and Ive written for a whole host of new artists who will hopefully keep me nice in the 'makin paper' department!!!! lollllllll... soul compilations that im on include 'Street Soul','Random Soul' and 'PH3'... Theres lots more to come, keep your eyes on me!!!
