The Jack Stafford Foundation is an acoustic singer-songwriter duo. They have just released their second album, Long Live Love, in the Netherlands.
Jack Stafford's and Jasmine Wynants` love story started when they met in February 2005 at the launch party in Amsterdam sex club Casa Rosso for Jack's debut album, Exes. Jack is English but has lived in the Netherlands since 1999. Jasmine is Belgian and grew up in Singapore where she performed before moving to the Netherlands. Together they have supported Supergrass, the Veils and the Rakes amongst others.
The backing band playing on the Long Live Love album is a Dutch super- group; Rob Klerkx (Supersub, Moke) on drums and percussion, Marc Driessen (Supersub, Voltage) on bass, Paul Willemsen (Supersub, Amigos Electricos) on electric and slide guitars, Enrique Lopez on keyboards and Ken Parsons on harp; making the new album a bohemian masterpiece.
The new album swaps the Electrock sound of Exes for a new sound built on beautiful vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and other elements. Early Beautiful South meets Syd Barrett and Joan Baez with a distinctive English taste.
Long Live Love was recorded and mixed by Marc Driessen at MDPD Studio, Amsterdam in August 2006 and mastered by Darius van Helfteren at Wisseloord Studio, Hilversum.
Jack also designs the gig posters, website, artwork, even the clothes. His suits are now available in shops and have been modeled by other artists, including the Fun Loving Criminals. Check out Jack's website www.jackstaffordcollection.com.
