Lovecat

Lovecat is singer/songwriter Jasmine Wynants. She was born in Belgium but grew up in the Netherlands and Singapore. She plays guitar, percussion, trumpet, melodica and whatever is around to molest...She grew up playing the piano, saxophone and trumpet and singing in school- choirs, but at the age of 14 she copied a friend and got a guitar - it's easy to make friends with a dog or a guitar - and slowly started songwriting.After years of neglecting her music she decided to throw herself in the deep end and became Lovecat in Amsterdam late 2004. With good friend Gianluca Ciccarelli accompanying her on lead guitar she enjoyed a few successful performances in Amsterdam early 2005 (including Bitterzoet and 2nd home Cafe Soundgarden).2005 also saw the collaboration of Jasmine and Jack Stafford, a singer/songwriter she met in Amsterdam 2 weeks before the launch of his debut album.Jasmine is currently singing and making music for the former Jack Stafford Foundation which recently became Jack and Jasmine due to lack of foundation.www.jackandjasmine.comNovember 2006 saw the release of Long Live Love - the foundations 2nd album and Jasmine's first.Jack and Jasmine are currently working on new material for a new album.
