About Me

GHOST TOWN is now available!
Contrary to popular belief ,Will Hawkins was not born in Nashville, Lubbock or on the side of some dirt road in Wyoming. He and his smooth, dark, moody twang were actually born on the banks of the Hudson River in the historic and haunted village of Sleepy Hollow, NY, home of the Headless Horseman and a crumbling Ford Motors Factory and is contributed to the old Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Waylon Jennings records his parents played around the house as he grew up.
Hawkins' new release, Ghost Town includes the web radio hit Johnstown, which has already been downloaded over 5000 times and has received nationwide airplay. His earnest and compelling songwriting style and passionate live performances have often been compared to John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle and Johnny Cash.
Johnstown was written after an emotional USO sponsored performance at Walter Reed Army Hospital in DC. The song tells the tragic, yet inspiring story of how an injured Reservist returns home after his tour of duty in Iraq and comes to terms with how his injury and experiences on the battlefield has changed his life forever.
“You’re gonna watch me bleed to what what you need, but baby I’m Alive”
Pennsylvania Congressman John Murtha was so moved and inspired by Will’s song that it was incorporated in his re-election campaign rally in Johnstown this past fall which was televised nationally and attended by ex-senators Max Cleland and Bob Kerrey, Governor Edward Rendell and Murtha himself.
His solo debut, NEXT STOP BEDFORD AVENUE (2003) was hailed by critics and fans alike as a powerful, melodic and insightful recording. He toured extensively through the North America received support on college and AAA and later took the U.K. by storm with airplay on BBC-2, BBC-4 and many web radio networks.
