Risa Hall

on to New York and gigs at Banjo Jims and Rockwood

About Me

Risa originally comes from Forest Hills, Queens, New York home of the Ramones , Lesley West (Mountain) and Simon and Garfunkel who all went to her school.. Risa grew up with the Ramones as her brother was in the Rattlers with Mickey Leigh, Joey Ramones brother and we all hung out. My first love of music was Motown and probably still is....I was an actor for years and appeared as Frenchy in the Broadway musical ’Grease’ with Jack Coleman who went on to Dynasty fame. I toured with Joe McGann, William Gaunt and Julie Graham as Mae in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and sang with Sinitta in the Heather Brothers’ musical ’Gratuitous Sex and Violence and Good Old Rock and Roll’. I still do voice overs and you can hear me on Red Dwarf, Radio 4, Manchester Art Gallery, Playstation games iincluding Stuart Little 2 , Timesplitters 2, Edge of Chaos and more...My first love was always music and wrote songs on and off since I was 9!After hearing Sheila Nicholls in 2002, my love of the singer/songwriter came back and I was inspired by KT Tunstall and Nerina Pallot and got out my guitar once again and the results are what you hear!
