About Me

LothlÃ³rien is a huge house collectively owned by the residents on Lake Mendota near the UW Campus . We have an activist philosophy which helped to start the Freewheel community bike shop and we are currently the base of operations for Madison Food Not Bombs. We are seeking more housemates who have respect for their fellow beings and wish to share cooperative housing .

Music:

We have a baby grand piano and much music of all sorts being played constantly. There are too many various types of musicians here to categorize all the personal genres.

Movies:

We have a large collection of videos in our Quiet Room, and Four Star Video is only a few blocks away. We regularly have movie nights open to the house. Our home is also the site of occasional underground film festivals.

Television:

We only have a television in our Quiet Room.

Books:

We have over 3000 books in our Great Room and Quiet Room.

Heroes:

Everyone who actually makes the cooperative run, people who make the coop a fun place to be.
