Slip

Sherdon "Slip" Aquino was always attracted to Hip Hop at an early age. He had his hand in all elements of Hip Hop before he found his calling in djing at the tender age of thirteen. Dj Slip was first attracted to the act of turntablism before he learned how to mix. This is where his musical abilities came to play. He played the piano at the age of 7, pursuing it professionally through college. His knowledge of musical theory is constantly utilized in his djing. His natural ability to manipulate the turntables gave him an advantage over djs who just mixed. In the early 90's, Dj Slip started spinning at clubs. His affiliation with top promoter "DMK" in LA gave him the experience he needed to become one of the top club DJs. Dj Slip has spun all over clubs in California, which eventually brought him to Las Vegas where he resides today. In Vegas, he felt something was missing. He brought independent artists and DJs to have a chance to perform their talents and skills, thus "Fundamentals" was created. His love for Hip Hop was just a foundation of his talents, but his diversity in music which he plays ranges from Reggae, R & B, Rock, 80's and Old Skool. Dj Slip can say he loves music like everybody else, but who really doesn't love music!? He will always remember when he first loved Hip Hop.
