The Sigvord band is a one man project developped since now many years in order to revive Folk traditional music from the north of Europe with Germanic, Scandinavian and Anglo-Saxon and some Celtic influences, with also an experimental music part which will come later.
Help the people in Europe to rediscover their cultural roots, music, old sounds, original instruments with special harmonic.
Taking from the past, developping in the present and transforming to share with the next generations is one other target...
I will be very interested to share with other musicians who play both modern and traditional instruments.
I began to learn Bagpipe at the age of 13 years old, few years afer i learn irish tin-Whistle, then i continue to learn and learn, Classic flute, hunting horn, piano, harmonica, Jawharp since 2005, this year i began to learn fiddle because i love Norvegian Hardangerfele and the scandinavian traditional music.
I learn a lot of music from many different nordic countries but i also create a lot of tunes by my own with all my instruments.
I have to go alone in the forest to feel my body and my soul free, pure and connected with Mother earth, i receive a lot from the nature, i can refresh my body and my mind, i hear the wind, the birds, all the surrounding little noises which inspire me, they come inside me and feed my soul and my creativity...
