Create Now ,
caffine, ink, long walks on cold days, thunderstorms, horses, books, writing, daydreaming, discovering sublime pleasures in the everyday, photography.........
sheesh, this listing thing is hard; you eventually sound cheesy and get yourself into a bit of a box
......above all else, learning to be a better person and giving love and support to my close friends without judgement- now that is of great interest to me.
the number 7
aleph kaf aleph= we all have it now let's use it.
I'd like to meet:
The fearless!
otherwise:
fit raconteurs with devilish smirks and reasonable abs who are capable of communicating in full sentences and not in groupings of letters that require the use of a decoder ring.
I have a serious soft spot for brown or green eyes, fearless eye contact, full pouty lips, and bookishness.
brains really are essential; if you're not really into thoughts and the strange conversations some intense thoughts might bring us to, we might not be able to work that out.
oh yeah, it would also help if you're the kind of person who understands that that thing with the car full of strippers, you know...
...it was all done for the art.
Music:
most and varied. everything from some brooding to Rufus Wainwright to just dancing around the house in some bvd's to all the 80's stuff that reminds me of college. Hildegarde Von Bingen, NIN, Bjork, Madonna, Erasure, Mylene Farmer, Monica Naranjo...really; all over the place- I'll listen to anything. well. maybe not Mariah.
Movies:
Heights,Fight Club, Vanity Fair, Party Monster, Tarnation, Naked Lunch,Shortbus,Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Amadeus, Little Miss Sunshine, Requiem for a Dream,Head in the clouds, RENT, The Last Time I committed suicide, Brokeback Mountain, Capote, all Tim Burton, Without You I'm Nothing, The House of Yes, and the cinematic masterwork of Cruel Intentions(whats not to love about that heartwarmer?)
Television:
really can't stick with the box long enough to know.....kinda just use it for DVDs anymore.
but the Iconoclast series on Sundance was pretty cool, and I'm always down for DocDays at the IFC.
Books:
Shawn Decker- funny, brave and inspiring.
Joan Didion~ the year of magical thinking.....genius.....,72namesofgod,all Michael Cunningham, James Frey, Augusten Burroughs, JT LeRoy, Chuck Palauniuk, the Beats...darker human struggle kinda stuff
my 'read' shelf:
