I was born in Serbia (ex-Yugoslavia).
Always loved MUSIC, though when the time was to go to college, I chose ACTING - the closest thing to music.. you can EXPLORE endlessly, LEARN about people, love.. yourself. A school that teaches LIFE, in a way.
After graduation, I've been a member of several theaters in and outside of Belgrade. But besides THEATER, the academy brought me to the music scene as well. I discovered JAZZ! Since I can remember, I loved IMPROVISATION. It's all about the MOMENT! Each moment in life is precious and different and should be embraced as such.
So, there I was.. performing with various bands at all the main clubs and festivals all over Belgrade and Serbia.
And soon my LOVE of music and HUNGER for it finally took over and after being awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, I headed to Boston, where I've been discovering new WORLDs every day! I've enjoyed FREEDOM of exploring many different styles of music, most importantly under the guidance of Jamey Haddad, Leo Blanco, Alain Mallet, Bertram Lehmann, Christiane Karam.. while studying vocals with the likes of Lisa Thorson, Mili Bermejo, Donna McElroy, Marlon Saunders.. With their infinite passion and talent, they have all helped me shape my world.
I also got in touch with my greatest passion: LATIN music.. a love that always existed, but now blossomed!
Currently, I'm in my 4th year at Berklee, as a Vocal Performance major.. WRITING.. DREAMING of South America.. DIGGING DEEPER within my own Eastern-European roots...
