Marcelo Woloski (percussionist) and Andres Rot (bassist), both young performers and composers from Argentina have gone through a long musical journey together. After playing with many of the most important artists in the Folk Music field in Argentina they both went to Boston, MA to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. They have gained a reputation as a rhythm section for being able to communicate the deepness of the rhythms from South America. They performed in some of the most significant concerts at Berklee and in the Boston area. They have also played with artists such as Paqquito D'Rivera, Jammey Haddad, Leo Blanco, Fernando Brandao and Maeve Gilchrist. At Berklee they had the pleasure of meeting Eleonora Bianchini, Originally from Perugia, Italy. She is an Italian singer who creates a warm and charming atmosphere through the sound of her voice. After working with her in many projects she became part of TANTANAKUY (the name translates from the indigenous Coya language as to become brothers). This fairly new group got great acceptance in the New England area. Within a few months the group is already part of the new Jazz Revelation Records release 2007 with "Mundo por conocer"(Marcelo Woloski) and it is playing at the most important venues around Boston area. The group features some of the most important performers in the South American field of the U.S. and interprets original songs based on those styles.
